The defense of the former VRS Main Staff commander intends to call just three witnesses before resting their case. The first witness is a pathologist from Belgrade, medical doctor Zoran Stankovic. ROADMAP FOR NEW TRIAL FOR STANISIC AND SIMATOVIC

A hearing has been scheduled in the case against Jovica Stanisic and Franko Simatovic. The parties will discuss the roadmap for the retrial ordered last December by the Appeals Chamber. Former heads of the Serbian State Security Service were provisionally released after the trial judgment and after their new initial appearance. The chamber decided not to compel them to appear at the hearing

ON 'SOLVING' THE PROBLEM OF BODIES IN BURIED IN TOMASICA

Mile Matijevic, former employee of the Banja Luka SUP, is expected to testify at the trial of Ratko Mladic. Matijevic was present at a meeting when Simo Drljaca asked the VRS to help and remove ‘the bodies of about 5,000 Muslims’ buried in the Tomasica mine near Prijedor. Defense expert witness Dusan Pavlovic will be cross-examined next week. At the defense’s request, Pavlovic analyzed the losses the BH Army had suffered in the breakthrough from Srebrenica in the summer of 1995

APPELLATE JUDGMENT IN STANISIC AND SIMATOVIC CASE DUE NEXT WEEK, MIGHT NOT BE FINAL

The appellate judgment in the case against former Serbian secret police chiefs Jovica Stanisic and Franko Simatovic will be rendered on Tuesday, 15 December 2015 at 3pm. The next day, the Appeals Chamber will hold the appellate hearing in the case against Mico Stanisic and Stojan Zupljanin, former Bosnian Serb police officials. Ratko Mladic’s defense has indicated it will call Dusan Pavlovic, former head of the exhumations in the BH Institute for Missing Persons, and a protected witness

DODIK AND CUTILEIRO TO TESTIFY IN MLADIC’S DEFENSE

Next week, Ratko Mladic’s defense will call the current Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik, a former Portuguese diplomat Jose Cutileiro and a Ukrainian lieutenant colonel Sergey Moroz. All three witnesses have previously testified in Radovan Karadzic’s defense. Karadzic was indicted for the same crimes as Ratko Mladic
